This is not a bad trend. Why deal with the stress of the finance world where you'll likely be socialized into the earn big -> consume bigger -> don't save fast track to brokeville. Sure educators don't on average make that much, but with discipline they'll have a steady income with which to become millionaires.

Yeah! Did not expect paper like that...

I am studying in Moscow and our MBA programms probably are not so advanced as in USA, since we need to copy and adopt your system etc...

Anyway, when I came to my business school for the first time and told that I used to work at K-12 and that I am going after getting diploma to continue to work at education sector, the guys were a little bit surprised.

However, the point was that I scanned programms of available courses and seached for reviews and graduate student opinions. It appeared that if one needs a good programm in studying leadership, team managing, get firm knowledge in project managing, strategic planning etc. then MBA school for teacher looks propose much much better and deeper course than alternatives...

Maybe in future I have to translate your paper and put it into my website for other MBA students, to show that EDU sector after buziness school is just a new trend (and I am not the only crazy person in the world :)).

Mills College also offers an MBA/MA in Educational Leadership graduate degree, offering the opportunity to study both disciplines in one degree! We saw a real need for it, and since it launched last year we are seeing a lot of interest!

To be clear, I agree with Dennis that there is a real opportunity to do make a social and financial impact with Education Technology (that's what we aim to do at Testive).

My highest admiration goes to the MBAs that plunge into education management for schools and districts. Most of them have much better paying opportunities elsewhere. They are among my heros.
