@computerengineeringsalaries.com What is "diploma engineer who does not complete typical four honors degree?"

Doug P. of CA 12:50PM March 23, 2012

To @Bryan and @Carlos: Different stages of a career but may be the same issue. Specifically - grades, experience and qualifications are only part of the equation. I believe another big factor is your circle of influence. It is not just who you know, but rather "who knows you and what do they think about you?" My .02.

Keep fighting and get out there and meet some new people. Good luck to both.

The salary of computer engineer is good enough but what about diploma engineer who does not complete typical four honors degree.

If this is true why don't I have a job! I'm a graduating Electrical engineering senior from Penn State and I could really use a job.

Really now, then how come I have nearly 15 yrs experience, and have been "searching a new opportunity" for nearly 6 months now?

Bryan St. George of MD 8:47PM March 22, 2012

@George Burdell I don't think there is a "school" 45 miles from Atlanta. Although there is a campus in the area you mention, that is actually a boot camp for training in drunkenness and debauchery.

You need only 2 years of experience to get your license in Cal.

Its not the same with Industrial Engineers at Georgia Tech. Even though the College ranks #1 as per US news, there a very few people in the M.S. Industrial Engineering program getting internships leave alone jobs.

Graham Thomas of GA 2:37PM March 22, 2012

I don't think this could be said about the school 45 miles away from Atlanta.
