Professor Junco is right on the money. The social media ban was nothing more than a silly publicity stunt, it was not serious scientific research. Students have smart phones, Harrisburg University is a commuter campus and they are located in downtown Harrisburg, where free Wi-Fi abounds. No scientific study of any kind was actually conducted.
