Why I picked a college (very very very) close to the very top of the US News List?
Because it was a good match for me! I didn't know that it had such a good reputation, I learned gradually about that, but I just thought it was perfect for me at the time.
(Its reputation is frighteningly good, I've come to discover, and I can't believe I chose it without knowing that bit) (when you tell people, they don't go, "Oh, that's a really good school", they go "You went THEREEEEEEE???")
