5 Ways Health Reform Affects College Students

Dude we don't have a free market economy. The definition of a free-market economy is an economic system driven by supply and demand. We don't have that. Companies such as wal mart and most other giants sell their shelf space to whomever pays the most, so it does not mater if you buy an item. If the company doesn't pay the most to the giant store, you won't get that product again...which is the very anti-definition to a free market economy. IF we still had a free market economy the stores would stock items based on demand. If we wanted Aloe dial then Aloe dial would be sold. Now if we want aloe dial, and aloe dial is selling like hotcakes, we end up with Lysol gold because Lysol paid more than dial for the shelf space. Capitalism and free market are not the same thing. Please, take some history courses, and economics classes before spewing the ignorance and propaganda :) Oh and the new order has already come to pass. It's called capitalism which killed any hopes of a free market economy. Also as for the socialism thing, socialism implies a government for the people by the people. People are all taken care of regardless of race, class, economics etc. Everyone has food, shelter, healthcare etc. You need to know this before you spew: technically we are not a Democracy. We in the US are a Republic by definition. Lol.Thanks!

to every fast food order which exceeds 500 total calories. With the millions of those sold every day in North America, that would help illuminate the issue, discourage the consumption a little, and toss billions of dollars into the kitty to finance health reform.

Obama's european socialized health care is the lie of all lies. Costs are going up, health care is being reduced; medical proceedures are being rationed by the socialist appointed by Obama; taxes are being raised; the national debt is out of sight; government is bigger; regulatory control of the population is putting a government boot on the public's neck and all the while, Obama is lieing about the issue.

November is the month to begin driving a stake through the socialist monster Obama created and his playing with our free market system for the sake of establishing a new order in America.

This is a good article. Just a couple of ideas for students who are not offered a campus sponsored plan or who may not have access to a family plan. There are not many options, but I have found www.GradGuard.com/health and www.eHealth.com also offers a national student health insurance program. These plans may not be accepted by campus health centers, but they are designed for students.
