Hi, I found this very helpful and informative. I also appreciate the clarity here, since I'm financially illiterate. However, we're left with one big question. Has my family maxed out our daughter's federal loan eligibility fr her undergraduate experience? What is the easiest and fastest way to learn whether we've maxed out?

Thanks so much!

Jane

Why should student loans be held to any different standards than other private loans? If they are unable to pay why should they not be able to declare bankruptcy just like the guy that overstretched themselves on a mortgage?
