You seem to have missed this statement in the 2nd paragraph: "The prize money funds college scholarships for the winning district's graduating seniors."

This is great, but I went to school in Aldine ISD, and I'm anxious to see how this money is spent. Most of it will probably go to the superintendent, the principals, and MAYBE the teachers. We do have great students that take the AP tests, and go off to college, but there is still a LARGE percentage of students that barely graduate--that usually skim by after taking the ridiculous TAKS test, and not have to worry about what is really essential for the real world. I have faith in Aldine ISD, and in the great teachers that make the district what it is today, but there are plenty of improvements to be made, and they should start where they are needed the most.
