Whoever doesn't believe that DePaul isn't a Liberal stomping ground needs to get their heads checked. It's no wonder that the city that encompasses the university is laden with municipal debt, poverty, high unemployment, and crime including being the murder capital of the U.S. two years in a row. Chicago=the new Detroit

Mike Cakes is definitely an idiot. Of course the school is a great school for being left wing, if it were right ring it would not be the progressive, beautiful school it is known for today.

Do your research, Mike. All of the best schools in the country are famously left wing. This is Chicago, an alpha world city. You want to be surrounded by fellow conservative right wingers? Then go to school in Mississippi or Alabama or something, I'm sure you will find it very comfortable down there.

Mike cakes of IL is a moron. What the author describes is nothing more what DePaul inculcates in its students and for what the University stands. That's the Vincentian mission, isn't it? It has nothing to do with "left" or "right", conservative versus liberal.

This article is nuts-laced with a bunch of political commentary. The writer is SO impressed the school adheres to his view of the world. Depaul is a good school for reasons other than adherance to the left wing agenda.
