Florida's Bethune-Cookman University

I just visited BCU with my daughter for orientation this weekend. I am concerned about what I have read regarding instructors guilty of sexual harassment, a student that was beaten by resident staffers and other negativity. I want to feel secure about the integrity and character of the staff that is there to help my daughter become a better individual.

I am an international student from the land of Mount Everest and I got accepted to BCU with Presidential Scholarship. I am really excited to join the BCU family and sustain the Legacy of Faith, Scholarship and Service.

Proud to join Wild Cat Family..

Bethune-Cookman University is more than a college its a family. I am motivated everytime I think of the history that brought this school to life. I am absolutely certain that I have chosen the right school because it offers a great educational as well as social environment. I am now a sophmore and I know that I am on the right track towards success. Overall I really feel that Cookman will prosper and grow bigger than ever in the very near future. Now that I've began to notice a wide diversity of people on the campus I know that change will be on our side. I have definitely entered to learn and I will certainly depart to serve.

I am currently attending BCU as a first year freshmen! BCU has such rich historic backgrounds that you cannot ignore. I've always wanted to attend BCU (BCC when I was still high school) and I'm glad that chose to come, I've learned alot. This university has given me a new look on what to expect after graduating in 2013! I look forward and seeing where BCU will direct me throughout my next four years.

HAIL WILDCATS!!!

While visiting the gravesite of Dr. Mary Mcleod Bethune, I felt the overwhelming presence of God confirming that BCU was definitely the place where God wants my youngest child to be. God has a plan for each of our lives and He confirmed for me that this was where my son would begin to live his dream. I am proud that he is a member of the Wildcat Marching Band and I couldn't be happier with the professionalism and the down home feelinrg of pride and belonging while dealing with the administration at BCU. We have a great appreciation knowing that Dr. Bethune pressed on the start her school with the knowledge that many thought she would fail. This is the same perseverence that I want my son to have as he builds his career to teach others his love of music. If God will be for us - who can be against us. God will bring my child through just as He did Dr. Bethune. What a proud moment this will be in 20013.

Something isn't right here. I just finished reading material from the following two websites.

How can BCU be the idyllic place suggested in this article and the dysfunctional institution suggested by these other two websites?

I am so proud to be a Wildcat!! This University continues to make enormous strides in the world of academia. It gives me great pleasure to see where the Wildcats have come from and where we are going.

Keep up the Legacy of Dr. Mary McCleod Bethune, she would be so proud!

I am a proud parent of a WILDCAT! our daughter is in her second year, and I have noticed a change in her that I love. My daughter has found her stride at BCU, she is more confident and independent and more aware of her leadership qualities. She also received a UNCF scholarship in her freshman year as well making the presidents list. I know the plans that I have for u, I will give u hope and a good future.

Let's Go Wildcats!

I've always had good faith in BCU.

I am a Spring 2008 Graduate of Bethune-Cookman University (was College when I entered as a freshman), and I wouldn't trade in my 4 years there for nothing in the world. I had the full college experience such being apart of many organizations, marching band, and joining a fraternity (Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America Inc.). Being the first one in my family to go to college, I think I've made my parents proud in choosing this great institution. I’ve always felt the warmth of family and care in the staff and the friends that I’ve made. I’ve learned to be independently successful and when you have goals, don’t be scared to go for it! I decided I wanted to work for the government my final years there, so when I graduated I moved to Washington D.C. Now, I currently work for the Federal Government here in Washington D.C which had a highly competitive application process (youngest one in the agency). At the age of 22, I think this institution well prepared me for such a challenging career, so all the hard work and sweat paid off.

Keep the dream Alive! GO WILDCATS!
