With its breathtaking but fragile scenery, Colorado is a major draw for students concerned about the Earth. Some of its top schools combine environmentalism with a classic college-town feel, while others have global aspirations. We visited four schools, two public and two private, and asked what made Colorado schools different (beyond the 300 days of sun each year). Some of their strengths might surprise you.
