The FAFSA is a waste of time for the middle class family. My son will start college in the fall with an SAT score of 1390 and 4.2 GPA and he will recieve no financial aid, that is reserved for minorities.Oh did I use the wrong word let me be politicaly correct, need based people of diversity. The federal government says once again the middle class income group shall pay for other lower earning families kids. The best of the education system of america is reserved for the wealthiest families and a quota system for the people of need. You see the quota system proves that the federal government and top tier private colleges are puting your hard earned tax dollars to work. Well it just doesnt work for the middle class, we take it on the chin for every dollar they spend.

Don't deceive yourself. Unless you are a minority, or have very high ACT/SAT scores you receive no grants. We earn more than enough money to pay for our childrens' education. The FAFSA was a waste of time. Might as well just write a check and be done with it.
Both our children were good students, did well, volunteered, lettered in sports, and had above average test scores. We applied for dozens of scholarships. No responses. No offers. We are in the wrong part of diversity, earn too much income, not quite smart enough, and don't know the right psople so we will be supporting the rest of the population and their "assistance" the rest of our lives!
