i think all illegal immigrants should have the privillage to attend college and the university . it's their dreams to get an education and become someone better. if their parents didn't recieve an education, they would love if their children will.

Whether the tax dollars go towards benefiting dog food or such as over achievers trying to pay for their Harvard tuition, your going to end up paying anyways. So why not benefit any student body that wants to expand their knowledge by continuing education whether they are Hispanic, Black, White, Asian; doesn't matter. Its seems that every generation there is a racial controversy going on and it will continue no matter what. I find lots of ignorance in people who cant distinguish between legal and illegal.

By reading the previous comments I found lots of greed with angry parent mad over why should "illegals" not be able to attend college. Its hard for me to wrap my head around how can two different groups have so much hate towards each other when " Every man is created equal".

And YES I am an "illegal alien" attending Harvard University majoring in robotics, and YES im paying for my schooling with my money, and YES my parents are also "illegals" paying taxes

Im A Citizen Daughter Of Two hispanic People Who Immigrated To The U.S And Gladly Got To be Residents. So I've read a couple of pages saying that illegals are "criminals" really are they that much of a difference from any other person just because someone is from a different country its not being a criminal.

If our government was doing its job they would not be enrolled in any public schools. We could have stopped a lot of the illegal activity before it got out of hand. Now we taxpayers should pay for their college education. NO way. My grandchildren who are citizens can not afford their education and are struggling. My tax dollars should Not be going to illegal's education, but to our American children.

NO No No Our tax dollars should benefit the children of the citizens of this country first and formost.

They can graduate from college but not use the degrees that the tax payers have subsidized them to get. Really. Why not put that $ towards someone who can work in the US legally.

Jack: yes I am from California, and no it's not free for illegal immigrants to go to college, unless they get a privately funded scholarship that grants them a full ride, which is very rare and in between. Federally speaking, the government does not allow them any financial aid, loans or scholarships, so they have to find their own personal means to pay for school.

I am not hispanic but how you classify the entire hispanic population as illegal just seem insulting. There are smart and LEGAL hispanics out there, and there are lots of non-hispanic illegals.

And no, I am not an anchor baby, nor did my parents bring me here illegaly. I find it immature that your way of attack is making up conclusions about me just because I don't jump in the anti-immigrant hysteria.

America is in a recession because of people who spend beyond their means and arrogant corporate CEO's messing up. As usual, when the economy tanks, the outsiders get blamed. Let's never blame the good hardworking American.

The illegals had nothing to do with your decision to get a student loan beyond your means. Heck, they are not even your competition to getting federal aids.
