2011 Not the Worst, but a Year Americans Would Like to Forget

2011 wasn't the worst of times, just a year to be quickly and gladly forgotten

Back to argument

Obama looks like Lincoln holding the Union together to me. Again intransigents threaten our very existence. This time its the Republicans.

After reading your article, I very much agree with your optimistic approach to looking back to 2011. Although it was certainly not our best year, we've had worse. Also, you didn't put all the blame on one area of the government.

We've all had low points and views of our government, but in the end, there have been many worse time and trials. We've had Kennedy assassination, Watergate, Lincoln assissination, etc, etc. 2011 has just had some bad memories, not terrible.

I completely agree that 2011 was not the worst year for America. Although that period of time definetly didn't help our national problems much, 2011 wasn't a year that plunged our country into devestation either.

I agree that while 2011 was not the worst year for America, many people would like to forget it. Our governments unability to get anything done highlighted the year and also the unability to do very much, if anything, about our massive economic problems.
