Only Winners Are Companies Making the Drug Tests

Suggesting welfare recipients are worthy of suspicion unfairly singles the group out for disdain

Back to argument

Equal rights everyone gets tested to earn money for every american because the money doesnt grow on trees and shouldnt be 100%free to anyone it still ahould be earned by meeting requirements for it that could include drugtests.

you're an idiot. If I have to be drug tested to get a job, like many working americans, the people that get FREE money from the government should have to be drug tested. You're crazy.

Well ur probly on welfare

John of AZ 10:32AM October 17, 2012

I disagree. They aren't the only people that get tested. I'm not sure if you are aware, but all military personnel get tested for drugs to not only join, but get randomly tested each month. If it's found that an individual has evidence of drug use, their career is over.

What I need people to understand is that you don't HAVE to be drug tested to work. Most private companies are choosing to drug test their employees for liability reasons (Minus a few exceptions.)

So, the argument that because you have to get a drug test to work is completely out of context. They simply don't compare.

Second, Welfare recipients don't sit around and leech off of others in society. They do contribute to taxes a majority of their lives so this assistance is due to them.

Another waste of internet space..

To have a JOB you get drug tested.

To have MY MONEY FOR NOTHING you need to get drug tested.

What is so difficult about this concept?

- This country wastes billions a year on so many things that don't matter.. I am willing to see a few million go to drug test reinbursment.

free money is the problem no wonder these companys are going overseas people here dont want to work and drugs are a problem too they should be tested just like me and every other tax paying citizen thankyou for this time

Why is it that we continuously treat welfare recpiants with kid gloves? If I am required to take a drug test for employment--then I expect someone recieving free money at the tax payer's expense to be tested!

I would venture to say that half of them will test positive!

Sick of It All of CA 1:44PM February 02, 2012

If I have to take a drug test to WORK for my money surely someone can take a drug test for FREE MONEY

Rdogg of VA 10:21PM February 01, 2012

Since 2005 I applied for three different jobs with different employers. In all three cases I was hired, but as a condition of my employment I had to pass a drug screening. There are not many career paths left that do not require drug screening.

If private employers can require it of the prospective employees, the federal and/or state governments can require it of those applying for assistance.

Because so many jobs require passing drug screening, why should benefits be paid to anyone who obviously does not want to work.
