Ron Paul and All of Romney's Old Rivals Should Speak

Romney and the GOP need to reach out to the Tea Party

Back to argument

Certainly Dr. Ron Paul, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich should be allowed to speak. That is if this republican party still believes in The First Amendment.

The whole group of Florida clowns, from Ric " Health Care Ripoff " Scott on down, is speaking. Who knows, maybe Romney will appreciate Ron Paul's economic and foreign policy credentials, especially Paul's Trillion Dollar Budget cut before the Fiscal cliff.

One key difference between Ron Paul and Romney's old rivals is that Ron Paul is still in the race.

"He reached out to conservatives with his pick of Paul Ryan to be the vice presidential nominee."

Who are you trying to kid? A REAL conservative, a REAL Tea-Party patriot would NOT be the LEAST bit pleased with a TARP-supporting, auto bailout supporting, Medicare D-supporting, UN and WTO- supporting, No Child Left Behind and foreign aid- supporting... oh, the list could go on but, (sigh!)

You get the gist- Paul Ryan is NO CONSERVATIVE. He is a big-gubment loving RINO. What a JOKE. And the joke is on those dumb enough to fall for this sorry excuse for a Republican! (Both Mittens and Ryan)

No thanks. I will write in Ron Paul or vote Johnson.

Brad wrote......Ryan Paul "sold out"

Who's Ryan Paul? lol

Cam of MD 8:21PM August 21, 2012

Ryan Paul "sold out" to less than half a man Mitt, if it's true as your news source is less than factual as you don't know. If Mitt was a true and honest man he should have stepped aside at least 6 months ago. Just another American bone head, if it is a fact you'll all be doomed taking us with you. Na this can not be fact, get back to reality folks he's Ron Paul's son never ever would or could be a back stabbing sell out, it's just a "party trick!"

"Go Ron Paul!" "Never Surrender!"

Let me be the first to congradulate you, "President Ron Paul!"

Cheers, Brad from Canada!

Hahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ... just a second .. hahaha .. i can't .. stop ... holding .. my ... hahahaha .. side.... hahahahahahahahahaahhaahh.

You did NOT just suggest that Bachmann/Cain/Gingrich/Santorum/Perry were even in the same league as Ron Paul.

Or did you ....

Clever girl...

The GOP will lose without Paul's support. They are fools to exclude him.

James of CA 6:50PM August 21, 2012

When did he "win" the nomination? Did I miss the crowning?

Christine of IL 6:32PM August 21, 2012

Of course he will speak. He's a candidate, not an invited guest.

m gambino of NY 6:29PM August 21, 2012

It's not that Dr. Paul should be allowed to speak. He won the plurality of delegates from 5 states (Iowa, Minnesota, Maine, Louisiana, and Nevada), so he had the right to speak, based on the RNC 5 state plurality rule. The RNC, GOP, and Romney camps realized that he did win the plurality, so they been doing everything possible to disqualify those delegates via fraud. Giving Rand a speaking slot at the convention isn't going to get the Dr. Paul supporters to vote for Romney. If Dr. Paul and his delegates weren't a threat, why even bother with them? The GOP needs all the votes they can get come November, and disrespecting Dr. Paul and his delegates, is not the way to go. Dr. Paul could have brought in Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. I for one will be writing his name in come November. Screw the GOP.
