In Parts of the Country, Open Carry Hardly Raises an Eyebrow

There is nothing wrong with openly carrying a firearm in a peaceable manner while going about one's business

Back to argument

I don't carry a gun & I don't wnt too. But I wonder every so often if it would be better to have all those carrying guns, carry them openly and ban concealed carry.

Assume no increase in people carrying.... Wouldn't you like to know who is carrying and who is not rather than wonder?

Yes, open carry should be allowed. It's been legal in Michigan for decades, and a permit isn't necessary unless the firearm is concealed.

I have been open carrying in AZ for almost 40 years and the only ones that give a second look or make a comment are the poor sheep from Kolifornia!

One's rights extend all the way until another person's rights are infringed. My peaceful carry of a weapon does nothing to infringe upon the rights of another person. I have yet to see either a logical argument otherwise or a reasonable explanation of how open or concealed carry is anything other than a right acknowledged in our Constitution. Contrary to what some would say you do not have a right to not be offended.

What part of "shall not be infringed" does the anti-gun crowd not understand?
