More Research Needed Before Marijuana Is Safe

The FDA, not popular opinion, tests and approves medicines

Right! Corporate owned U.S. Government/FDA is going to do whats best for the American people! They do have a great track record these days. But just to be sure, I'd like a prescription for that idiot pill so I will "believe".

The fact of the matter is that cannabis is illegal for only one reason, the threat cannabis poses to financial interests of corporate entities that control federal government. If this statement is not true, please explain Popular Mechanics Feb 1938 story "The New Billion Dollar Crop". Please explain William R Hearst yellow, racist tainted, reefer madness journalism of the 1930's. No need, Popular Mechanics does it for you... look it up.

Why should i be told what to do by a bunch of people who i have never met and have no idea that i can trust? i didn't have a say in appointing these people and i have no idea the kickbacks they are getting, and we all know they do. Why should i trust an organization that has given us chemicals like Oxycotton and Morphine, and approves the use of Alcohol and Tobacco, all of which collectively(and some standing alone) kill hundreds of thousands of americans every year? Why should i trust those who support all of that horrible shit, but think a substance with 0% overdose rate is somehow as bad for you as heroine? I don't give a damn about the fda's, or any other government organizations "approval" and i don't trust it. "Flouride's good for you", "Cholestrol can kill you", it's all lies and americans know it. I say it is time to start overthrowing these organizations who think they can run our lives.

keep your head up the ass of the FDA. maybe you will find more FDA approved drugs like phen-fen and vioxx

Good arguments..let's let FDA do their job. People in CA and CO are (mostly) not sick.

dehjnk of CO 4:08PM October 26, 2011

Then have the FDA test it, why is this so hard to get accomplished. Their is no faith in the system because the system is being manipulated....explain that one for me if you want us to trust the system and ignore mass opinion and widespread private research...

Finally a sensible argument against medical marijuana! Can I revote on Prop 215 again please?

Anthony Russel of CA 4:07PM October 26, 2011

Perhaps all plants should be legal.

Evan Haarbauer of AL 4:05PM October 26, 2011

Why is it illegal in the first place? Stop your propaganda garbage because we know the truth and it has been the most studied plant in the world for centuries. Get your nose out of other peoples lives control freak.

Dear Congressperson:

I support H.R. 2306: Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011 because..... I am tired of being afraid of my country because of a non toxic plant.

I've had 3 major spine surgeries, I have tremendous chronic nerve pain. My country allows poisonous narcotics to be legally dispensed to me by big phrma, yet persecutes those that provide a non toxic plant for my relief. My country is trying to force the elimination of my "freedom to choose". I believe big phrma owns American politicians today.

Every single surgeon, anesthesiologist, physician I have seen at division 1 university medical centers is in support of the medicinal attributes of mmj. Yet my country's politicians have the audacity to call my doc's liars.

It is a non toxic plant today just as it has been a non toxic plant for thousands of years. Cannabis just happens to be the most useful plant on this entire planet... so there are huge economic reasons to prohibit this non toxic plant. Please look up Popular Mechanics Feb 1938 article "The New Billion Dollar Crop" and learn how timber and paper would have been eliminated over night. What would Hearst think about that????

Doc's or politicians, who to believe?
