Unemployment benefits reduce incentive for people to find work

Exactly Federal unemployment benefits should be eliminated. People are taking advantage of the system. I know so many people who collect the benefits and do not look for a job. They go on trips and enjoy their lives while people like me work so hard and pay taxes. Taxpayers suffer! People just don't want to work while they get free money. They are picky and choosey. No more federal extensions on unemployment benefits! How long are you going to pay those lazy people?!!

Contrary to some's belief, most people do not wish to be on unemployment since they are draining their assets to pay their bills. Unemployment just about puts food on the table and it is really depressing to be on. How about looking into the H-1B situation and see how many American jobs are taken by them and displacing us. There wouldn't need to be extensions of unemployment benefits if the Americans were given the jobs going to the H-1Bs.

And then what should people do? Go to Social Services and overload that systems? While you may have all you statistics to make your case, you most probably have not been in this situation...YET! What causes distortions in the economy is not counting the REAL unemployed..all of them and that would put us at about 20% instead of the 8.6%. I've worked since I was 15, have had a long career and now at 62, what should I do..go to SS and collect a little over 1/2 what my SS would be if I could work until I was 66? All you analysts need to get yourself some real world experience rather than always playing with the numbers! And you'all are real good and making them appear however suits your purpose...
