President Obama's Policies Revived the Economy

Because of Obama's policies, the U.S. has added 3.5 million jobs since February 2010

The number of jobs gained doesn't equal new entries into the economy. That means fewer net jobs. This is by any record the slowest recovery of any modern recession. When we add to that terrible statistic we find that federal Reserve has issued more currency than at any other time in history causing real reduction in purchasing power and the IMF recognizing for the first time in history two other Reserve Currencies. Russia, India and China has agreed with each other to use their currencies for major purchases rather than the dollar. This is a far greater crisis than even the great Depression. We may lose the dollar.

Its one thing to state without proof that the stimulus caused the economy to start recovering, it is quite another to look at statistics. The Daniel Mitchell piece has a link to Fed numbers on various recoveries. You can compare the recoveries under Obama with the one under Reagan. Remember, Reagan did not stimulate the economy with government spending. He cut taxes and government regulations.

Sir, I do not have time to address your entire analysis, but it has a great fundamental flaw--the misunderstanding that even the worst recessions generally have a bounce-back recovery. That Obama's predictions about the efficacy of his policies were so wide of the mark is an indication that whatever benefits the stimulus bill was supposed to cause--it was not entirely effective. Even as the administration cheered the end of the recession, economic prospects looked grim and stimulative effects were negligible. The government wildly overestimated their ability to build a sound economy, and squandered future wealth of our country.
