Washington doesn’t have a clue what they are doing to the working class. The price of fuel has got out of control. They don’t understand that people that are fortunate enough to be working has to take a big portion of their income and use it for fuel to get to and from work.

Because fuel price is so high they think they are going to force the public to buy a hybrid vehicle, FAT CHANCE THAT’S NOT HAPPENING. So this is my strategy, because fuel is so high now I will refuse to go out to the movies, eating at restaurants including fast food restaurants etc. In other words just reduce or even cut any other activities that evolve our family having to travel to do so. And if everybody implemented the same idea wouldn’t that Just do wonders for their local economy?

It seems to me the only ones that will be able to support them Is the upper class like politicians, car manufactures, oil companies and lawyers that support them.

It all boils down to good old fashion CORPORATE GREED, Enjoy the ride as long as you’re conscious will allow it.

I am very disturbed that neither #1 or #2 even mentions the fact that burning oil in any form is killing us, literally, and the not only don't mention it, it is obvious that they don't care. They don't seem to know that our old standard of living is dead, and that a new reality must be faced. It isn't going to help my grandchildren to be financially well off - if there dead. Wake up gentlemen.

Obama should open the Strategic Reserve and keep it open until legislation is passed which eliminates the speculation in the market. This speculation didn' t exist until the early nineties when Goldman Sach's asked for an exemption from the rules that governed options. Then in at the turn of the century it was opened up to everyone else. Before then to be able to bet on oil futures you had to have an interest in it (Airlines and Oil Companies)

How much the price would decrease overnight if you eliminated speculation. 10%, 25% or 50%? simply by changing the rules back to how they were 20 years ago when they made those who placed the bets must have the facilities to be able to receive delivery on the tens of thousands of barrels of oil they were betting on.
