An impotent government regulatory body is a recipe for disaster

Back to argument

Weak, weak arguments against fracking.

FACT - when done correctly, fracking does not more environmental damage than building a new church.

FACT - there is not one documented instance of fracking contaminating water when done correctly.

FACT - fracking is done correctly about 99.99% of the time, according to a recent MIT study.

FACT - the oil and gas industry creates jobs that CANNOT be exported. Basically, for each barrel of oil the US produces per day, one US job is created.

FACT - states such as OH, WV, ND, WY, and PA are seeing booming job markets due to oil and gas exploration. Penn St University says that in 2010 about 140,000 jobs and $11 billion in PA alone are directly related to oil and gas. Slightly, just slightly, more credible than "Food and Water Watch", whose study methodology is laughable.

Sorry, Mr. Stringer, but you have no FACTS to back up your assertions, only emotion. You are wrong.
