Three points. Romney systematically took out his competitors during the primary , one after another, using negative ads. His opponents could not respond in kind because they did not have the money. Giuliani, Cain, Gingrich, the inebriated Texan, and Santorum all where knocked off through a well funded negative campaign turning its attention to each hapless opponent who could only bitterly complain that he or she could not match Mr. Romney's spending. Mr. and Mrs. Irrelevant, Ron Paul and Michelle Bachman, we're and are too stupid to waste any money on. Second, the voter deserves what he or she votes for. Voters love dirty politics, history shows. Third, nobody likes a punk. Democrats for too long have allowed Republicans to kick sand in their sanctimonious faces. We wanted to defend the clean fighting Democrats but we also were sick of Democrats whining instead of fighting back. At some point we all concluded that Democrats deserved to get their ass kicked so long as they were too sissified to fight back. Obama is from Chicago. He is no punk and is not afraid to fight back. More power to him.
