Tim, I'm really looking forward to the day that your hate group is closed down forever, and that you, as the head of this fraudulent group, face criminal charges. It's just not possible that anyone could be as evil as you, and that evil not have manifested itself in ways that you can be imprisoned for. It's only a matter of time before you are caught, and punished for all the harm that you have done in the service of your psychotic fairy-tale.

You're actually serious. Wow.

Jesus needs our Presence in the world more than He needs our Presents...The Greatest Gift ever Given was Wrapped in Swaddling clothes & laid in a Manger ...And not placed 'Under a Tree'... But rather, was 'Hung on a Tree...1 Peter 2:24...'Whis own self bare our sins in His own body on the Tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed....Merry CHRIStmas...or Merry CROSSmas! Because He Lives!

So Jesus is partisan? I thought he came for all of us!

This is true in the sense that the pivotal Battle of Trenton was planned by George Washington as a sneak attack on Hessian forces on December 26, 1776. As one of his officers put it, "They make a great deal of Christmas in Germany, and no doubt the Hessians will drink a great deal of beer and have a dance to-night. They will be sleepy to-morrow morning."

One can infer Christmas was not as big a deal to Washington and the Continental Army.

In this article I've found a kernel of solid thinking in a jumble of incorrect historical facts and unsupported assertions. The solid part is that a Christian holiday is an important economic driver for retailers and that it really is the only federal holiday that is also a religious holiday. It DOES seem a little silly not to acknowledge that Christmas is the biggest holiday in this season, but it's also a little silly to fail to acknowledge the myriad of other religious holidays that happen around this time and the purely nonreligious holiday of new-years.

What this article did not explain to me, what I'm still confused about is why it's so upsetting to realize that Christmas doesn't stand alone but rather that it stands as a giant among other holidays. Is it really so terrible to realize?

I've read the bible front to back. I could not find the the biblical justification for the follow:

Democratic governance.

Freedom of religion.

Freedom of speech.

Freedom of the press.

Freedom to protest the government.

Freedom to bear arms.

Abolishment of Slavery.

Women's suffrage.

In fact, most of these concepts are either explicitly rebuked in the bible, or there are verses that can be used to support removing these rights.

P.s. The exchange of gifts on Christmas has a pagan roots.

Re: Truman's speech

"[T]he Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion"

Is the United States the greatest country on earth? I wasn't aware of that. I thought every country had its advantages and disadvantages.

One disadvantage of the United States are the many religious groups using their tax-free status to spread hate and lobby for exclulsion and inequality.
