A Newt Gingrich Nomination Would Be a Gift to Barack Obama

A Newt Gingrich GOP nomination is Obama's best hope for 2012

Back to argument

I feel very very uncomfortable with Newt's candidacy for all the reasons cited in this opinion. I disagree, however, that this means that he cannot win. Lest we forget, the American people elected Richard Nixon to the presidency twice, once by a landslide. He was even more repulsive personally and politically than Gingrich and not half as clever. He was also the beneficiary of a Democrat mood swing way to far to the left and way too counter-cultural. Sound familiar?

Disagree. I'll take Newt's baggage over Obama's failed policies, poor jobs record, jaded Saul Alinski past, any day. In 2012 the debates will be everything. And Newt is the only candidate that could completely decimate Obama in a debate. Especially 7 3-hour debates with no main stream media Obama shill as moderator to help Obama. And obviously voters agree with me in the early primary states.
