Are Super PACs Harming U.S. Politics?

The real problem with super PACS is the truth accountablity. They can out right lie about anything and have no accountablity. Also, one person should not be able to donate millions as do the Koch brothers to push their own agenda and have that great of an influence on policies. It is a government by the people for the people. Not a government by the person for the person.

Actually, Super PACs are having a huge effect. During the passage of the Obamacare healthcare act. 235 million was spent by Super PACs against the law while only 22 million was spent defending it. As a result, Americans now are against the healthcare act in a majority. In fact, as interviews and polls have shown, most of them are misinformed. They think obamacare will prevent them from choosing their own doctors, they think there are death panels. They think there is rationing so people don't get treatment. All of this was in Super PAC ads. The Citizens United case has made it so the wealthy in America each get tens of thousands of votes through their donations to Super PACs. These Super PACs are able to spread lies about anything that convince Americans to vote misinformed. Billionaires are brainwashing Americans into voting based on lies.
