Washington Whispers by Paul Bedard

Rats Prove Obama is Focused

Don't question President Obama's focus. Consider: For his upcoming book Inside Obama's Brain, author Sasha Abramsky talked to many Obama friends and found this story. In Chicago, Obama started at a law firm located next to a Thai restaurant with a vermin problem. One day, during a meeting, Obama took a call as two rats entered the room. One ran up his leg. Firm partner Judson Miner tells Abramsky, "While we were all distracted by the rats, he focused on his conversation, finished his conversation, and then picked up on the conversation that we were having about the rats."

That wasn't cojones. That was professional courtesy.

So many rude, nasty, low-class remarks-amazing.

Most people have almost a phobia about rodents, maybe from prehistoric times when people equated rats with having unguarded infants eaten. Snakes, like rats, arouse panic. Obama must have an extremely healthy, vigorous & active nervous system. i lived in Singapore two years, & visited the 5 AM reptile market. Already, most of the huge cylinder steaks of anaconda or python were sold as excellent food. In the Straits Times, there were often stories of a snake found in the rafters of a village post office. Ants were everywhere. My cook had to wash down the tile floor if a drop of food fell, to keep off the ants. Obama did live where there are far more animals near the population than we have here. i rightfully feel the need for caution when a big dog comes near, even without teeth bared. Obama rightfully kept his focus on the topic that concerned the group. Compare that with the spacey behavior of Quayle, Reagan, Nixon & Bush Jr. I'm disgusted with the number of nasty comments including the digestive process. Intending to harm Obama, the comments convict their makers of being crude, vicious, and maybe envious.

Heh

@RT He probably figured it was Chris Matthews' hand.
