Washington Whispers by Paul Bedard

Bill Frist: Petraeus Not Interested in President

By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers

They've known each other ever since 1991 when Bill Frist—later a Senate majority leader—sewed up an accidental gunshot wound in Lt. Col. David Petraeus—now the four-star Iran-Afghanistan war boss. So when physician Frist, writing in his new book A Heart to Serve: The Passion to Bring Health, Hope, and Healing, compares the Army general to Gens. Dwight Eisenhower and Douglas MacArthur, is he feeding the Petraeus presidential buzz? Frist tells Whispers, "As a principled leader with experience, he obviously would be a superb candidate and a superb president." But Frist says it isn't going to happen. "He will not do it, is not interested in it," the former senator says. "He has made clear to me and to others that he's not interested, and I believe him."

Obama a joke

Petraues or Steve Wynn will make Obama look like a stupid stuttering 5th grader

Not Intersted Makes Him the Best Candidate

General Petraeus' lack of interest in the presidency makes him the best candidate of either party. It is well beyond time that American voters stopped electing people who crave the power and celebrity of political office and start electing real working folks whose most important goals are the preservation of our constitutional republic.

Maybe he will reconsider

We could always ask Stormin Norman Schwarzkopf to run if Petraeus doesn't....

Face it we are never going to unite so perhaps its time to divvy up the USA into two halves. The liberals on one side and the conservatives on another.

Joking of course!
