By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers

The Cold War is making a cameo on the international stage in November when major political figures of the time join in a reunion to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall 20 years ago. Whispers hears that former Kremlin chief Mikhail Gorbachev, former West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, and former President George H. W. Bush plan to huddle in Berlin to talk about the tumultuous—but surprisingly peaceful—times that led to the end of the Cold War and breakup of the Soviet Union.

Berlin Wall Activism Idea from CampusReform.org

Facts why nonprofit E. Berlin was forced to build wall

On the E. side of the wall, the mode of production was non-profit socialistic. That meant merchandise for sale on that side was a lot cheaper than on the W. side. On the West were profit-seeking dog-eat-dog capitalists. They went to E. Berlin & cleared the shelves, took the stuff back & sold at great profit in the West. Of course, their raids CREATED SHORTAGES. Then they could say "Communism doesn't work." They abused it. Catholic Walesa formed the fake union, Solidarity. It was purposely concentrated in dock areas, RR & shipping centers. Then they called strikes. As the conspiracy intended, the strikes INTERRUPTED DELIVERIES & there were shortages. Americans have been taught to fear socialism. It's actually "public ownership" of natural resources. When the US was formed, the government owned everything. But in the Robber Baron era, Congress sold to private owners oil, coal, natural gas and other mineral deposits, and water sources, forests and RR rights of way. Private owners created what we call public utllities & we've been paying too much all these years. I want Congress to buy out investors and have "daily needs" companies operated by government employees. It would be as if we all got a big raise in income.
