Add George H. W. Bush to the fans of the first moonwalk. To celebrate this month's 40th anniversary of the walk, the 41st prez hosted a showing of The Wonder of It All at his Kennebunkport, Maine, compound. Filmmaker Jeffrey Roth joined Apollo 16 moonwalker John Young to show off his flick, which tells the personal stories of seven of the surviving astronauts who walked on the moon. Roth says Bush got the idea after the film was shown at his presidential library and museum in Texas. "It might be hard for some of the younger generation to imagine," Bush tells Whispers, "but the world gathered around their TVs and held their breath as Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon. Now filmmakers and historians like Jeffrey Roth are reminding us of the bravery and the humanity of these true American heroes."
