School's out for summer and the Obama girls are taking on the town. We hear that the first daughters were spotted at Madame Tussauds Washington, D.C. this afternoon. Museum officials say that Malia and Sasha Obama giggled while they took a picture with the Barack and Michelle Obama wax figures. They also snapped shots with Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, and J. Lo. In addition, the first daughters waited patiently in line to see the museum's faux version of the Oval Office. Being courteous, they even declined an offer to jump to the front of the line, a source tells Whispers.

See photos of the Obamas behind the scenes.

Their parents are doing good work

Pres. Obama and his wife probably discussed one of the most beneficial decisions that led to his making employers start paying women the same wages as men--for doing the same work. It may take a little while for the momentous importance of that change to become obvious. Now, girls can be even more confidently urged to attain a college education. "It's a Boy!" was the glad cry in movies when a maternity ward scene was shown. He would earn more than a girl and not be a burden to be "married off." Their fine parenting shows in the girls. I'm glad they're the First Family. Same Pay for Same Work--the Obama Era begins.
