Palin is nothing more than a joke with “lipstick”. Let’s be real people. McCain needed a woman so he could try to grab Hillary voters. Instead of finding someone ladies could relate too he instead found this over moisturized montage of tweaks and blurbs that made NO sense. As he attempted to tie on his puppet strings and gag he learned quickly and harshly that when she was allowed to open her mouth that she not only made herself look bad but him and the entire Republican Party as well! Now she’s on a book tour! I guess she needed something to fill the void since she resigned her position as governor, (remember Sarah, no unemployment for you – you can leave that for the rest of us) really, who’s gonna buy this book……McCain? Maybe the Bush’s? Jeb could be first in line. Could you imagine this book doing the rounds at the local “book of the month club” meetings? When is she going to realize that she has about as much political support and influence as a plate of cheese fries? Go home. Go away…………..just go!

I give her points for resigning and being honest about going out and making a buck.
We are ill served by the greedy crooks STILL in office. I didn't vote for McCain because she was on the ticket and simply not ready in terms of foreign policy, but she is up front about her ambitions. She ain't ever going to be President; however, she is on her way to being both RICH and FAMOUS.

Alaska is better off without her, but she IS a quitter. She campaigned for the job, she was hired for the job, and now she's quitting the job. That makes her categorically unfit for any political job in the future. She's unreliable and greedy, period.

Good for you Sarah! You could use the book deal and possible TV deal. She has been torn apart like no other; women did not stand up for Sarah, "shame on you". She had the guts to stand up for her values, only to be knocked down.

If I were Sarah Palin, I would resign also just to protect my husband and children from the garbage which is being thrown at them. I would love to see people's reaction if it had been at Nancy Pelosi's kids or some other Democrat's kids.

It is an absolute disgrace that these name calling , ignorant members, of society continue to attack Sarah Palin!! I cannot understand why so many are frightened when a Woman succeeds in any walk o life!! The attackers come out of the woodwork with all the other vermin !!!
I WISH SARAH PALIN WELL!! Hopefully she will be doing whatever benefits her in the personal and private life, and in her political life if she continues to pursue it.
Do not let the mud slingers curtail or influence you.
My only other comment is that there will be something done to curtail the wolf killing situation. If not by her before she leaves office, then the Governor coming into office will have a better plan than killing these gorgeous animals.

If you are puzzled by Sarah Palin's resignation as Governor and wondering why she would have done it, you just don't get it! Who, in their right mind, would want to continue having their children viciously attacked, day in and day out, in an unprecedented manner. At the same time, while living on a measly governor's salary and the liberal left in Alaska, constantly launching frivilous investigations of falsly concocted accusations that require 5 times her salary to defend herself. Additionally, by announcing that she would not seek re-election in 2010, she was automatically placed into a lame duck position as governor, which limits her abilities to get things accomplished for the state of Alaska. Last but not least, she has an opportunity of a lifetime to make millions, now, not years from now, doing book signings, speeches and many political functions and events, from which she could garner the big bucks. I would not have hesitated, nor would you, if you will be honest about it, to do exactly as she did. She is a very popular, a super star in her own right. Go Sarah !
