Washington Whispers by Paul Bedard

GOP Issues Road Map for Strikes at Obama, Democrats

By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers

Eager to build on the public's growing concern with President Obama's agenda, Republican strategists are reviewing several potential avenues for hitting the White House and possibly building their minority in the midterm elections. Among the topics that they are looking to capitalize on are the continued lack of job creation and potential for 10 percent unemployment, the surging cost estimates of the president's healthcare plan, and the public's worries about the government taking over huge chunks of private enterprise. Republicans believe that such an opening could give them a foothold into the newly emerging economic narrative that one official said casts Obama and the Democrats as ineffective and as pitting big government against small business at the expense of jobs. "With nearly a trillion dollars spent and nothing to show for it but mounting debt and a growing unemployment rate, Republicans can legitimately ask, 'Where are the jobs?' " said a congressional strategist. There is a long way to go until the 2010 midterm elections and things can turn on a dime, but you can expect to hear these themes repeated over the course of the summer by members of Congress and candidates traveling in districts across the country.

GOP What Makes You So Different?

LOL, they side stepped Immigration there, WOW and a major mistake!

I heard Newt bring up radical corrupt Sharpton via compliment. Please! All these politicians are so afraid of turning off any and all voters, how can they possibly do the right thing? Seems like more deals in the pipe line for later on maybe? Of all people, Sharpton! Then Newt made a nervous comment, like surprise huh? Sharpton the around about town and known Democratic vote collecting racial agitator, leaving debts along the way thru his NAN Non-Profit org. This is a man who won't even take responsibility for owning a suit and Newt praises him on a simple Education comment? See this is where American voters are being turned off by the GOP and "YES IT ALL COUNTS."

Here is a reality check, "true Conservatives are fed up." Obama and cohorts love to cry but, but "its Bush's fault," like children in a school yard." Put your big pants on and take responsibility for your current bad decisions. Reminder Bush is no longer in office. Maybe if we said, "Elvis has left the building," the dazzled pop glee Obama cheer leading loving squad, would finally get it. We all know how much they enjoy those Gorky phrases, now throw your horns up and party down...

Obama politicking battle cry was for transparency, so transparent he is going to be, even if we need to send him off to detention. The GOP is going to have to work a whole lot harder, since were not currently interested in any transparent sell out party participating in Cum-ba-yah lip sync. This is exactly what got them into a great deal of trouble in the 1st place. Off to detention again GOP.

Bi-partisanship?

Planning a strike at Obama and the Democrats is bi-partisan? How can we get this party to be bi-partisan with the terrorist regimes in the world?
