Poll: Americans Say No to New Healthcare Taxes

Americans are not keen on paying any new tax to fund healthcare reform and instead want Congress to cut programs to pay for the changes. In the new Whispers poll from Synovate eNation, 56 percent rejected new taxes while 29 percent said OK to sin taxes, 12 percent are willing to pay a soda tax, and just 3 percent agree with a tax on employer-paid health insurance.
Of note in the poll, low-income Americans rejected taxes at a higher rate than other groups, with 62 percent against new levies. And families making $75,000 or more favored sin taxes more than the other income groups.

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO AMERICA? Health Care
You shouldnt compare whats happend in other Countries. And its really unfair on the poor who cant afford health care, just because some other rich person who can afford health care says no you cant have free health care cos I dont want to pay for it. I'm am very thankful that the UK have free health care, if it wasnt my mum, dad, and myself wouldnt be alive today, all thanks to people working the asses off at our local hospital. There should be some hard rules to make sure that the people needed the health care are Americans and have lived in the USA for so many years. As in the UK, I think its good for what you get. We have so many people coming in from other Countries - not paying for anything and getting free health care, plus it doesnt help that the UK are part of the E.U - which thankfully the USA is not. I say give it a go, you can only but try and offer someone else the right to live.
