GOP: Obama Is Not Reagan, Yet

So we've all heard the Obama-Reagan comparisons. But today, as Congress honored former President Ronald Reagan by unveiling a bronze statue of him in the Capitol Rotunda, some Republicans grumbled at the idea. "You have to run the race before you make those comparisons," says former House Speaker Dennis Hastert. Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele also thought it was premature to think President Obama was much like the Gipper. "I think having just come out of the starting block a lot remains to be seen there," Steele says. "I think it's a big leap to make that kind of comparison, so let's just hold on that." So what would the current president have to do to be more like Nancy's "Ronnie"? Says Steele: "Not what he's doing right now, let's put it that way."

S.OS.

Reagan- "the best social program you can give Americans is a job". Obama- "we now own you".

What?

Obama is no Reagan and never will be. Reagan embrased free markets and capitalism while tearing down the communist wall in Germany and liberating the people. Obama is a socialist, no doubt about it. Reagan believed in equal opportunity all, Obama believes in equal outcome for all.

can't campare

The sociaist-in-chief cannot be compared to Reagan let alone any other president. He has done more damage to this country as we knew it in such a short time as no one has ever done before. God help us from this evil.
