Carville: Republicans Really Are the Grand OLD Party
By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers
The Ragin' Cajun is hot about the media coverage of the Tax Day conservative tea parties. But James Carville isn't one of those liberals who think the press should have ignored the events. He wishes there had been wall-to-wall coverage to highlight those who now represent the GOP base. "I say the media didn't cover them enough," he told me during an interview about his upcoming red-meat book, 40 More Years, How the Democrats Will Rule the Next Generation. "I wish they would have been there 24 hours a day. I mean, I couldn't imagine anybody, like, identifying with those old—the average age at the thing must have been 76," he said. Part of the thesis, grimly acknowledged by some Republican advisers, is that the party has lost the youth vote, something that started in 2004 at the height of the Iraq war. And with that trend, he said, the party is in trouble. What's more, he said that it also shows that the GOP has lost the Reagan touch with kids. "Reagan always did better with younger voters," Carville said. "He was responsible for bringing in a whole generation of younger people to the party."

Carville: Political Prostitute and Lately Irrelevant
James,
Way back when you at least appeared to stand for something American, I found you entertaining.
Today: The truth is that your new book is all about marketing and Democratic Brand Loyalty - very cleverly disguised as truth. The real truth is that after Hillary lost, you quickly descended into irrelevance, and are now trying to suck your way back to relevance.
Why don't you do something useful and honorable again - like cleaning toilets and flipping burgers.
Ageism
Ageism is alive and on display! Thank you Mr. Carville.
Carville: Republicans Are Really The Grand OLD Party
What a bunch of pitiful whiners! WAAWAAWAA! I lost and I don't want to play anymore! I don't know if Carville is correct, but on a certain level I believe he is correct. Only time and demographics will tell.
To Tim:
Grow a pair! I hope you are not responsible for the nurturing of the next generation in your neck of the woods as we say here in the South. We are all Americans and we need to pull together to get out of this mess caused by both parties and we the GREEDY American people with our easy credit, keeping up with the Joneses attitude and instant gratification. Some BIG chickens are coming home to roost and they are not going to be pleasant.
