It seems Meghan McCain's big political debut may not have impressed everyone. "Having a crazy day already . . . there are a lot of f------ crazy people in this world and I wish they wouldn't send me scary emails," writes McCain this morning on Twitter. A few minutes later, she Tweeted: "OK, I'm fine now. Heavy metal music seems to help :-) I'm my own person, with my own ideas and I'm glad I scare the sh-- out of crazy people."

So why the tough crowd? Well, the almost first daughter urged the GOP to go gay. McCain, who has been penning columns for The Daily Beast, took another step into the political limelight by speaking at this weekend's Log Cabin Republicans convention. The group, which advocates equal rights for gays and lesbians within the Republican Party, had both Meghan McCain and former John McCain campaign adviser Steve Schmidt speak at its conference. Here's what Meghan said: "Tonight I am proud to join you in challenging the mold and the notion of what being a Republican means." The 23-year-old daughter of Sen. John McCain added, "I am concerned about the environment. I love to wear black. I think government is best when it stays out of people's lives and business as much as possible. I love punk rock. I believe in a strong national defense. I have a tattoo. I believe government should always be efficient and accountable. I have lots of gay friends, and yes, I am a Republican."

Meghan=Bad Fruit?

Are you kidding me? Meghan McCain is a Godsend. She is creating a dividing line between the more sensible side of the GOP and the absolutely raging maniacs who rallied for Sarah Palin and who sank the Republican Party.

Oh and she's helping keep the GOP fighting amongst themselves, too!

I say we slap a moratorium on giving her any flak. Napoleon once said why stop the enemy when they're screwing up? The man had a point. Go, Meghan! Go, GOP! Do what Dubya said and stay the course!

Remembering the GOP

I am happy to remember it as long as I don't have to live with it anymore. If Republicans continue being the party that only needs a bench instead of a tent, we will be "remembering" them for many years to come. You can keep your "True Republicans" pure. Send those that don't fit the mold somewhere else, they will be welcomed.

Crazy people!!

Pschiatrists have long known that the really "crazy people" are the ones who think everyone else is nuts except themselves. Ms. McCain needs to stick to her "preppyness" and stay out of the big leagues of politics. Bad fruit never falls far from a bad tree.
