Could Legalizing Marijuana Help the Economy?

legalizing marijuana
i think that we should legalize it. it makes you have a good feeling and i believe that if it grows on the earth we should be able to do what we want and use it how we want. This is supposed to be a free country and we are supposed to have our freedom so y the heck dont they let us have it?
Marijuana legalized, please.
The DEA's strong opposition to legalizing marijuana makes me wonder if any single person in that organization has ever done any drug. They arrest the users and dealers on the street and label them as criminals when in fact they are too criminals themselves. The laws against marijuana are subjective and biased. Should they have the right to make arrests through laws based on opinion? NO! There is no evidence whatsoever regarding marijuana being a dangerous drug.
The biggest problem with our so-called "democracy" is that it isn't one at all -- it is a represantative republic. The citizens that are "represented" are the elite high-class of society with super-traditional views and beliefs. Meaning that the reason marijuana isn't legal because the rich traditionalists don't care enough about anyone else, especially under-class, who disagree with them. The opposers in this revolution are high class politicians, company owners, born-rich families, traditionalists, most democrats(ironically), and mother's of teens mislabeled as "drugees."
Don't get me wrong. There are those who abuse marijuana and become hazardous to themselves but never to an extent of hurting others. Also, it is literally impossible to overdose on marijuana. Why is it still a Class 1 Narcotic...? Answer me that with a legitimate, reasonable, HEALTH-BASED answer!
reasons
marijuana should definintly be legalized for many reasons and weed is awesome another reason is that it will help our economy
legalizing marijuana
It would help the economy but how much? The drug companies would lose lots of customers because it would be so much easier to just go buy a twenty sack if you have add or adhd than the mecidine that they prescribe to you. Also it would make kids sleep during in class and once again they would want to put an age limit on it and it would turn out the same way as with alcohol. Don't get me wrong, we waste so much money on keeping pot dealers and buyers off the streets when we could be putting that money towards more important stuff. Just think if we put all that money towards schools and repairing roads. At the same time though when you smoke weed you don't feel like doing anything and would you want your doctor to smoke a big fattie before he performs heart surgery on you? I for one know that i don't.
POTT
Man i want the pot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pot pot i gotta smoke it
for the economy.
im am doing a project on marijuana and i have learned that if we do legalize marijuana then we could take hemp and make cloths and or so many other useful things which in return could help save our economy and get us out of debt with china.
legalizing marijuana
I think that legalizing marijuana would help our economy out alot, look at what happened after the great depression when alcohol was legalized. Why is somthing that so bad for you like alcohol legal and not marijuana. I think we would have a better world, I dont use marijuana anymore but it has so many possitives to it. So why would anyone object to a herbal medicine?
Legalize it for all reasons
I do not smoke anymore, but strongly believe it should be legalized for the good of all. Why should all of the dealers make the money? Our state needs the revenue it will bring.
Legalization = Reduction?
This is such an interesting topic that involves a lot economic issues but also moral issues. Some seem to think that this will actually reduce marijuana use because part of the thrill of the drug is the illegality and risk involved with it. http://www.mindreign.com/en/mindshare/Health-and-Science/Mom-2c-Let-s-Try-Some-Pot/sl36962307bp407cpp5pn1.html has some interesting ideas on the subject as well....
Legalization of Marijuana
Amen to this. If we leaglaize marijuana the economy will go through the roof. Here are some pretty good examples of why:
My metabolism went up ridiculously, my averages went up in 3 classes, as long as your not chain smoking the stuff then you wont get dumb off of it. The person who wrote this made a good point on the homestead act, like when we gave away tons of land if you could cultivate it and make a profit over so many years then you can keep it, same principals but you sell it too the government. As for all of the critics and government officials telling us the abuse will go up, they need to lay off the crack. If you look at drinking in different countries where the age limit is lower they dont have issues like we do. If you lower the age then you dont have teens snooping around abusing it, again same principals. Even though the government can put a limit on the potentcy's and strains they wont be able to stop it, its inevitable. We all know the government grows it anyway and their strains are outrageous, more than most stuff you pick up on the streets. There is another option too, we could just go with a an experiment see where the economy goes in 10 years, if its better, keep it going, if everything gets worse, ban it. Yes a lot of people will get upset by that but something has to give. So legalizing would be the governments best bet without a doubt. With that said, ~Peace~
