But your headline is misleading. Only 37 percent advocated what you say. 60 percent think he should be made an envoy.
Bill Clinton's role as Hillary's Husband
In the English language quite often they say that less is more and in this particular example it is my opinion that the less Bill Clinton does as husband, the better, particularly under the circumstances of his previously denied sexual misconduct which does remain in my memory. Whatever he is doing in his own right - speeches, lectures and appearances - do not have to be, necessarily, wearing the hat of the husband of a prominent woman and, in fact, he would easily overshadow her! After all, no matter what his personal or sexual inclinations may be, he definitely has a lot more charisma than his wife, and she is not bound to create that. Unless we want to see his role similar to that of Jackie Kennedy, who did create a special aura in the White House, as a very elegant, pretty and presentable person - but so was her husband - why should one have to be preoccupied with his role as husband, for he is, after all, the still popular and controversial ex President Clinton. He will be doing what spouses do, attend functions and probably stay a few steps behind his wife, as maybe his wife did before, or perhaps she ought to have done (and didn't) when he was the leader and she was the follower?

Why in the world would women stick this brilliant man at home as a house husband? We need him as a special envy asap!!!

He may have had abominable judgment when it came to women (Monica Lewinsky?) but he was a good president and the country thrived under his administration. He's an intelligent man and has much knowledge and wisdom to contribute. I do wish he'd been less visible during Hillary's campaign but what's done is done.
More scary and of much more importance is the fact the Republican members of the Congress and Senata, who expected and received support from the Democrats when they bailed out the banks under the Bush administration, are now still playing politics and refusing to work with the present administration to save, if possible, this country. They don't come up with a solution but instead criticize and complain. Shame on them!!! A team of workhorses have to pull together - if they pull in opposite directions, nothing will be accomplished. We're sliding down a precipice and if there isn't a joint effort to prevent this disaster, we're doomed.

I think more than anything despite his faults former President Clinton has natural gifts for speaking, for inspiring many people and he has a great intellect. The world needs people with these skills and he can be an asset for our country, no matter which party is leading.
