Newt Gingrich Likes Palin's Chances for President in 2012
By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers
Don't count Newt Gingrich, the GOP's big thinker, down on his party despite the collapse of the GOP at the polls. A student of history, Gingrich said over bacon and eggs today that it's totally reasonable to think that the Republicans could stage a comeback in the next presidential election. The former House bomb-thrower, who used his 1994 Contract With America to become speaker, says history can repeat itself, especially if the GOP can nominate a charismatic leader who knows how to use the mechanics of the primary and caucus system. He's not endorsing, but he said that former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will arrive in Iowa first in line. Her advantage: Iowa, the first state to vote in the primary-caucus season, loves Christian conservatives, and her crew there will be large. "Palin starts in Iowa with a substantial base," he said. And, yes, Iowa matters, having put Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter in the lead during their races for the White House. Others in the running: Mitt Romney, if the economy still stinks, and maybe Bobby Jindal, the Louisiana guv.
But that's not to say he isn't supportive of some of what the Obama team is doing. Heck, he said that he's among those giving advice to some of President Obama's cabinet, like Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and health and human services nominee Tom Daschle. BTW, he wasn't too critical of Daschle's failure to pay some $128,000 in taxes on time.

How about Gingrich/Palin 2012?
Palin in 2012
It's amusing to read the talking points of DNC in all of these anti-Palin comments. Some claim Palin is a "disaster" in Alaska (false- she still has higher approval ratings than any other AK Governor, even after the media trashing). Some say she's "immature" and wasn't ready for the White House. Look what we got instead: Have you SEEN the "gifts" the leader of the free world gave his closest allies? an iPod and a 25-DVD WalMart box set? This is mature? The commander in chief of the US military doesn't know enough to return a salute?
How 'bout jokin' Joe Biden? "Don't ride the train, don't fly, don't go to school, only sneeze if you're in a field somewhere?" This is the guy we were told has all this "foreign relations" experience? Is he the one who chose the iPod and DVDs?
How about our stellar Attorney General, Eric Holder: "America is a nation of cowards" on race, adn by the way, we're going to let some little tinpot appeals court judge inSpain put the entire Bush administration on trial for war crimes. Good one, Holder.
Oh- don't forget Napolitano, all the tax cheats and union bosses the great one has appointed.
If the country is still functioning in 2012, we'll be BEGGING for someone with leadership experience and business acumen, as well as poise and charisma to bring us back to normalcy. I just hope she doesn't let the Republicans saddle her with a loser VP like Romney or Jeb Bush...
LOL Sarah ???
Palin is a JOKE to AALASKA!! Look at the childish governor at www.adn.com for more. She cant put the best senate pick in because she said palin wasnt qualified for the White House! Truth hurts palin , so she takes it out on Juneau, the town she hates so much. Doesnt even live in the governors mansion. Sit and spin Palin, your a JOKE!!
