By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers.
When it comes to Christmas present suggestions for President Bush to give his successor, Barack Obama, Americans are in a somber mode, probably because of the economy. According to our latest Washington Whispers poll from Synovate-eNation, balancing the budget topped list of gift suggestions. Of course, that's impossible now with the Wall Street and Detroit bailouts, but this strongly suggests that Americans are both worried about the deficit and hopeful that Obama will have enough money to implement his agenda.
