Whispers Poll: President-Elect Obama and Michelle Obama's Date Night

By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers.

Date nights are still a part of the Obama family, and it seemed appropriate to ask in our latest Whispers poll just where people think the new first family should go for their initial date after arriving in the White House. To our surprise, the poll found that a traditional dinner and movie or play just can't hold a candle to the rarest venue for any date anywhere: right inside the White House.

The Whispers Poll

President-elect Barack Obama and Michelle Obama like to hold fancy date nights in Chicago.

When they move into the White House, what should be their first date venue?

Just stay inside and enjoy the private White House quarters 51%
A play and rooftop dinner at the Kennedy Center 23%
A long, romantic stroll between the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials 17%
Pizza and a matinee movie in Georgetown 9%

Here are two people, happily married I think, very much in love and still can and want to find time in their busy schedule for each other. They may hold the highest office in this great land of ours, but that does not precede the desire to "stay in touch and/or tune" with each other and what's going on in their private lives. We gotta remember they have a life also and no matter the demands of them or how great they are, there is no greater duty than their commitment to each other and their girls. Love is a virtue that has to be nurtured; if not, it dies and without it, there is no greater loss.

Dating

I think its fierce, I think its romantic, I think its sharp, I think its classy, I think its sweet, I think its not a shock to me, I think that the President and his Date(Michelle) got it going on the right course. I just love the youth and the fresh ideas that now bless the White House. Enjoy your evening Mr. President & First Lady Michelle and you guys are our darlings, you make us so proud and I am so happy to witness Sparks & consistency returning along with the many changes and having them teach us to give back personally to your own neighborhood and its happening around our nation and that is what being America and an American is all about!
