moosemeat

Seriously, beef is environmentally-unfriendly???? so I guess all you city dwellers are environmentally unfriendly because of all the car emmissions and noise and light pollution- why does everyone have to put down anything that out of their personal relm?? I'm happy

to be here in Nebraska enjoying great corn-fed beef on a regular basis. Venison is good too. I've had elk and it is great. Bison meat is always good. I'd really like to try moose sometime. Maybe we can get Ted Turner to start adding moose to suppliment his bison ranches.

moosemeat

It's healthier than beef said Sarah Palin in Greta's interview. It makes sense for Alaskans to hunt wild moose / game rather than importing environmentally-unfriendly (hormones, methane production [greenhouse gas]) beef from the lower 48. If I ever make it up to Alaska, I'll have to try it.

People hunt deer in the "lower 48." We were frequently given some deer sausage made by friends who hunted. It was very good.

These prejudices people have about eating certain game animals is a result of being spoiled by the modern supermarket where you buy chicken, beef, fish, lamb, pork. I think that's about it, isn't it? Oh, yes, duck, turkey.

So it's all in your perspective. If you grow up in a place where moose abound, and you are hungry, you eat moose.

I want some moose meat!

After watching Greta's interview (part 1 & 2) with Sarah Palin, I really want to go to Alaska and get me a moose burger!

Eating Moose

I've had elk and deer and antelope. Elk is not bad if it wasn't run down and was quickly dressed. Antelope is extremely gamey... good only smothered in sauce.

Scranton style??

I be a scranton gal and we've always eaten our pot pies with crust on top.

mmm

Hmm, I didn't know that it was illegal to sell. Moose meat is actually quite tasty, I've had it on several occasions here in Maine. Not as good as venison though, in my opinion.

Chicken Pot Pie- Joe Biden Style

I'm pretty sure that Joe Biden's favorite dish, Chicken Pot Pie, would be the classic PA Dutch Style, which does not include a crust on top...(that's a New England thing!) it's more like a noodles and gravy dish, with homemade square "potpie" noodles, yellow gravy and pieces of chicken... no true Scranton boy would ever have a crust on his pot pie!

I'm against consuming any red meat

I always brown it first.

Eating moose meat?

I've never before considered the desirability of consuming moose meat. Now that I have considered it, I find that Bullwinkle Burgers is not a craving I will have - ever.

Can't find it? You say that as if it's a problem.
