finally tax rates like many other countries
Good thing our tax rates will go up and be equivalent to those in other socialist countries. That is the course Obama wants to take us. He claims to be able to lower taxes. The math just doesn't add up though. A trillion in new spending and lower taxes???? Oh yeah tax corporations so that the price of goods and services will increase. That is indirect taxation, but is the same result. Money of our pockets. Not to mention corporations moving overseas to countries with lower tax rates. Also he wants to cut military spending?? When we don't seem to have enough people and can't replace equipment as it is. Yeah, that's what I want along with foriegn diplomats.

I am not surprised. These are the same people that want our Govt to disarm us. If you want to be at the mercy of any droopy draws, butt crack showing, bald headed Gang banger/ thief that will feel free to break in because he knows you are a law abiding citizen, therefore unarmed, then vote for Obama and watch Pelosi and crew destroy the 2nd ammendement.
Real Reasons to vote for McCain
Okay, Lloyd, here's a few real reasons to vote for McCain. Let’s just call the economy a null issue at this point. The reason? Neither candidate has a snowball's chance of fixing it. If you actually believe Obama is going to cut taxes in this economic mess, you're delusional. He won't cut spending either, which is where the real problem is. In fact, I'd wager whatever I have left, after a Democrat president and congress get through taking most of it, that earmarks and pet projects will skyrocket.
I don't like the idea of a foreign policy of appeasement either. Didn't work in the 30s, won't work now.
I don't care what he says, but Democrats have shot down clean coal, off-shore drilling, domestic oil exploration, nuclear energy...doesn't leave many options for immediate solutions, does it? Obama's energy policy is essentially throwing $150B at scientists in hopes that someday our cars will run on lollipops and fairy dust. You might as well take the 150B to Vegas and throw it down on black (no racial pun intended, so don't even go there). That's the plan...no real plan.
I don't like this country...my country...slipping closer to socialism every day. Obama's radical leftist ideals unchecked by a similarly minded congress scare me to my very soul. And speaking of radical leftists, let’s look at Obama's political/ideological influence. William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and Frank Marshall Davis aren't exactly George S Patton when it comes to patriotism. Of course, let's not forget Michelle's comments either. I have visions of Obama, Ayers, and Wright sitting around a campfire, torching the Constitution, and penning out their "top 10 reasons to hate America". Michael Moore will make it into a "documentary".
Look at voting records. Obama has NEVER voted against his party. I don't know if "present" counts as against your party. If it does, then disregard - he's voted against them A LOT! What does this mean to you, Lloyd? It means to me that since the beginning of his whopping 143 days of Senate experience, his priority has been to run for President. Voting "present" or party lines ensures you don't destroy your chances.
I don't like elitists. I'm just a small minded farm boy that doesn't possess the intellectual capability to understand all those big words he uses. Sarcasm, in case you missed it, Lloyd, but his "bitter" comments really peeved me off.
The bottom line is that Obama is nothing more than an empty socialist suit that will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your vote. Who knows what we'll get once he's in office. I'd say he'd sell his own grandmother, but judging from Saddleback, I think she's going to be his foreign policy advisor. If Obama wasn't following such a detested administration no one would know who he was, much less read his books. Which brings up another point, how do you accomplish nothing, and write a memoir? Anyway, Lloyd, I hope I've offered up some "real" reasons.

it is great to read, see and feel. as much as we americans have been taught, that we are the world!! we are not.. and president BUSH / MCCAIN will continue to allinate us from the whole world amd it's exisistence. we need someone to bridge these countries so we are no longer travelling on a BRIDGE TO NOWHERE!!

A while back BBC did a poll in I think 22 countries and asked people who they preferred for US president and Sen. Obama was chosen 4 to 1. That told me that he has a world presence and that the world is watching. This confirms it.
What a refreshing change from the bellicose pushy foreign policy of the last eight years.
And anyone who uses the word "fear" and Sen. Obama in the same sentence has fallen for the Republican politics of fear. Do more research! Read Sen. Obama's books for heaven's sake. Don't let the Republicans do any more dumbing down of America. We ARE too good for that!

Obama has nothing at all to do with the PLO. That's simply absurd, and if you believe it, I truly feel sorry for you. Obama has so many people on his side because he leads, he has plans, he is a United States Senator and has been vetted more than ANY candidate in the history of modern vetting because of the very long and very ugly Democratic Primary. To repeat nonsensical things like PLO associations is just wrong for our country. We are better than that. If you don't like him, give a real reason. Now we have McCain/Palin supporters day after day for the last five days who scream "kill him" and spew racial epithets at African Americans IN THEIR RALLIES! How could you want that sort of person to lead our country? Anyone who decides that since he dropped a bit in the polls he will draw on the most divisive tactics and just lie to scare people is not the person we need to lead our country in this terrible time.
I happily disagree without objection or voicing my opinion, but enough is enough with these completely bogus lies. Find a real reason to vote McCain, but don't repeat extremist lies based on the biggest of fear-mongering and not expect someone to say "enough."

You people scare me to death to think that you are electing this man to power and have no idea how manipulated his campaign has been from undergound extremism. Delusional you are. Neither canidate brings anything that excites me toward feeling positive about it. But at least I understand where and what mcCain's agenda is. What scares me is that I don't know how deep the rabbit hole goes on B. Obama. And I'm sorry but when activist of ethnic and religious beliefs put support behind a candidate like this. It scares me. I dont like rooting for a cause when i look to my side and see organizations that i am not wanting to be associated with. You won't see me rooting for the same football team as the PLO anytime soon..
