Sarah Palin's Wasilla Is Home to the Iditarod

October 02, 2008 05:00 PM ET | Paul Bedard | Permanent Link | Print

Fans of Sarah Palin are fast learning about her days playing basketball for Wasilla High and her time as the town's mayor. Well, get this: The town is known for something much more important. The Iditarod Trail Committee, which hosts the annual dog-sled race, is headquartered there. From their website is this address:

Iditarod Trail Committee
P.O. Box
870800
Wasilla
, AK 99687

What's more, the site displays the temperature in Wasilla, which runs about 50 degrees this time of year. Here at Whispers, we're big fans of the race and figure that if John McCain is elected, the 2009 race might have a very special VIP pulling the starting gun's trigger on March 7 in Anchorage.

Do you want to know who is Sarah Palin really? find it out in with people that has been closed to her... look in the internet, search, it is scaring...

Anyway she is the prototype persona McCain needs, some one that do not understand well what goes on in the world, because her world was not even a million people as a Governor, but she can memorize and repeat, oh but never interview her without advise... my God, Afganistan is just our neighbor country !! and "the bad peole" and the "good people" do not have nationality... come in people is the future of the country and our children that are in your hands, as Ale Gore said, it is okay to recycle, but not 4 more years !!!

Palin was a wrong choice

I was hoping that McCain would choose Mitt instead he has chosen someone who does not have any experience and is bit irritating. McCain you have lost my vote.

Sarah Palin's did her Tutors proud! V.P. Class 101

Sarah did a good job "debating" old Joe Biden. She

proved one thing to me in regurating untold hours of misinformation spoon fed to her by McCain and his cronies at plush resorts prior to last night's event. She is a best example of a political puppet since George Bush. The well

scripted debate format and (waterd down) questions were designed to enhance her image, hence she gets a B for acting and a F for indepth knowledge of the subject matter, also

she scored an F in diction--she pronounced NUCLEAR just like

"The Decider.

Mission Accomplised!

Sarah!

Bobbles Poll: Vice President Hillary?

Biden, Clinton, Richardson and Edwards Bobbleheads, for Washington Whispers

A new Obama campaign book suggests that Hillary Clinton was almost picked by Barack Obama as his vice president. Would you have picked Joe Biden as vice president or one of the other 2008 Democratic primary candidates?
