Maintaining balance

Actually, if Obama filled the court with a single liberal (in the words of a previous commenter), that would simply maintain the current balance, assuming that the first vacancy is John Paul Stevens. Rather, it is McCain who would have th power to change the direction of the court.

faulty links

At the end of the second paragraph, on several tries, both links connected to the McCain site, neither to the Obama comment. Thanks.

Sara Palin

All this talk about how Joe Biden might respond to poor little Sarah Palin. So Katie asked her what kind of reading she did, and when she stumbled and could not think of one, she said, "Alaska is not a foreign country". That comment was meant to put down Katies question, and make it seem like even asking it was silly and unnecessary. If she wants to dismiss questions with a smart retort, then I hope Biden puts her in her place. I come from a long line of republicans and frankly we are very tired of this pit bull with lipstick. You can't have it both ways Sarah, you are not qualified and totally uniformed.

Liberal is not a dirty word.

We need more thoughtful jurors who are oriented towards needs and well-being of today's society. That religious faith is considered a requirement by Bush and fellow conservatives frightens me.

Supreme Court picks

If Obama fills the court with even a single liberal it will set this country back 50 years. We have not yet recovered from the liberal and left leaning justices of the past
