I'm also the grandmother of a boy with Duchenne. His name is Cooper Jones. He's 7 yrs. old and just started first grade. His parents are totally dedicated to finding a cure for this devastating disease. Thank you Ryan for getting the word out in a big way. I hope you can meet Cooper some day. He can't do other sports but absolutely loves swimming. You're such an inspiration for all Duchenne boys!

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a disease that brings slow deterioration to every muscle in the body and ends only in death. Words cannot express the heartache and sadness for the child and every family member. Thank you for bringing much needed attention and support to find a cure. Probably it will not be in time for my grandson, but hopefully in the future young lives will be saved. God bless you.

Good for Lochte

I'm glad that he's using his success in the olympics to create awareness of this disease. I've never heard of this form of MD so I'm interested in learning more about it and the symptoms of the disease.

I strongly believe that the next time we see Lochte in the pool against Phelps, Lochte will beat him.
