The Debate Spin has Begun
The conventions are over, and the presidential candidates are still close in the polls. So, naturally, all eyes are on the first debate between Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama on September 26, where voters and pundits expect one of the two to break out. "They are going to decide in the first debate" whom to vote for, predicts pollster-strategist Frank Luntz. With that kind of hype hanging over the event in Oxford, Miss., the candidates are already starting to lower expectations. First, McCain. Aides say that he won't be as eloquent as Obama. Obama's team, meanwhile, suggests that he's not as practiced at debates as his long-serving Senate colleague. "These debates are not Senator Obama's strong suit," says one aide.

MSM has led Barrack's campaign
BS. Barrack Obama has had a campaign led by the MSM, not himself. End of story. He had nothing to do with the success, except that he ready a few speeches very eloquently. We have all seen on youtube what happens when the teleprompter goes out-we see him for the bumbling idiot that he really is. By the way, some people need to go to church and purge themselves of the white guilt that is driving them to vote. It will help to clear your heads so you can vote rationally.
Independents please save us from Rednecks, Neocons and Nascar fans
Rednecks, neocons and Nascar fans never tire of sleazy politics. They eat it up! The debates won't matter to them. It's up to the Independents to save us all from 4 more years of Bush policies and the Republican filibusters crippling congress.
A co-worker sent me an email that she thought was hilarious. A photo of a bear sitting at a picnic table with the comment "...Democrats influencing wildlife. Even the bears are sitting down waiting for a handout". What kind of ridiculous garbage is this that she is buying into? This lady makes 12 bucks an hour and she thinks the Republican party is the greatest thing since sliced bread, regardless of the last 8 years. She doesn't give too much thought to it either, she just goes with whatever her Country Music radio station is telling her to do. She doesn't know about the issues and doesn't care about them. All she knows is that "Republicans are patriots" and "Democrats are communists".
Rednecks, neocons, Nascar fans and religion-pushers are the tools used by greedy people and big corporations to assure the rich get richer and the middle class get the shaft.
Debates aren't going to change any of this. People vote with their "tribe" regardless of debates.
This election, Independents have an opportunity to be super heroes for America! Save us Independents!
Obama will change the old guard.
Angellight of Pa, your comment " Barack has over 20 years of experience in public service"......could you pls tell me exactly what major accomplishments Senator Obama has? Could you tell me why he votes "present" as often as he does? Could you elaborate on how he was able to get his opponents disqualifed in his State Senate races? Could you tell me why he chose to have close associations with Ayers,Rezko, etc.? Could you tell me why now and for the first time ever, he stated he "considered joining the military"?
Could you give me some examples of his "reaching across the aisle" to make our country better? Could you tell me it took him so long to gather the courage to appear on Bill O'Reilly's show? I believe the Senator is a good man (with an angry wife) however, his only strong point is his ability to deliver a wonderful scripted speech. We need something more than that to get this country on track. Obama is a regular politician, nothing more, nothing less.
