Meg Whitman for Gov?
Compared to former Governor Moonbeam, I'd vote for an unnamed Republican (a real Republican not a blockhead like the Governator). However, I suspect that Steve Poisner, the California Insurance Commissioner (and self-made billionaire), will be the Republican candidate. He has done a terrific job of balancing insurance regulation with a business-friendly environment (although personally I'd strike the balance a lot further towards free markets), way better than former Insurance Commissioners (Democrat) Garamendi or (disgraced Republican) Quackenbush. He gets my vote over Moonbeam or Meg.
Peter Principle at work
Perfect example of Peter Principle at work - "failing upwards".
She made a mess of eBay but came away smelling like a rose, so now she wants to make a mess of California.
Let's hope the state has more accountability and better resolution of problems than eBay does. I'm no fan of eBay's stonewalling and total lack of customer concern - is this the way you want the state to be run, too?
Whitman is total loser!
Why would anyone pick Whitman for govenor? LOL. She retired and left eBay in pure shambles! This woman does not know how to run anything! eBay ran good for the first few years because of word of mouth. She had nothing to do with it.
Ten years after her taking over eBay, eBay stock is a worthless stock because of her bad, bad decisions! She left her investors holding the bag while she bailed out to the tune of billions!
And you want this woman to run California! Lol.
