McCain Camp Targets New York Times Story on Palin

Vote for McCain/Palin in November! Don't let the ignorant Democrats convinve you otherwise. Also, don't listen to the loudmouth liberal Hollywood sychophants. The Obama compaign is spending so much time sneakily smearing Palin and McCain. It's disgusting how low the Obama campaign has stooped.
America needs change, and that change lies with the McCain/Palin administration. If you're ignorant or super rich, go ahead and vote for Obama -- you don't know any better.
Shame on you
The republicans say shameful things about their counterparts and all of it gets printed. If their counterpart rebuts the misleading or completely false statement then they are whining.
Then they pull a self proclaimed "Pitbull in lipstick" out of Alaska and are insulted when "we the people" want to know who she is and what she stands for.
It is the media's JOB AND OBLIGATION to the public to find out everything their is on Gov Palin. What about her Pastor? What about her husband? After all that is said on FOXnews, who are clearly rightwing, how dare they say they are being wrongly smeared.
I used to have respect for the media's trying to be fair but I see that everyone can be bought and those that can't get fired. Matthews and Obermann are alot more fair and balanced than anything I've ever seen on Fox yet they can't cover a debate. Shame on MSNBC for caving to the machine.
Just goes to show that "We the people" lose again to "Them with money".

GOP's double-standard goggles on the media
"Not too long ago, Republicans were complaining about Obama getting too much news coverage and never mentioning that much of it was negative (that's what newspapers do; look for dirt), now that they get it, they cry foul???"
You've got to be kidding! What newspapers have piled any dirt on Obama? Certainly not the mainstream press like the NY and LA Times, Chicago Tribune, etc. How about some examples?
Mr McCain's choice is an affront to women of the USA. As I heard a women who claims to be a republican voter say something to this this effect, how dare Mr McCain think that women of America are stupid?. It is my opinion that Mr McCain asked Ms.Palin to be his running mate because he thinks women of America will vote for her simply because she is a woman, a mom, and someone with a mouth on her face, and a household to run with help of course. I don't care about her pregnant daughter or the rumor that her youngest child belongs to her daughter. Seeing that baby on the television only tells me she had her child recently and he or she may have problems, I may be wrong. This does not affect my choices for our nation's leaders. Mr. McCain you are a user of women as evident from stories of how you dumped your beautiful first wife because changes occurred to her after a car accident. You did not even help her recover. If that is what you do can do to her. How will you treat the women of America? I guess for you money and beauty is all that counts. Mr McCain give the women of America credit, they do have a brain, and they can weigh the differences between the two larger political party's candidates. They will choose who they want to lead us for the next four years who will not take advantage of women like Ms Palin
Deal with it...
If women ever expect to be considered as equals, then they need to deal with all the media dishes out and stop crying sexism. Sarah Palin dished it out in the speech written for her and I think that Biden should go after her full force. This is a way for women to prove that we can stand across the podium from any man running for public office. She cannot whine and wimper about her treatment when she enters the vice-presidential debate. Biden should debate her like he would anyone, gender aside. Already, however, they are talking about how Biden is going to handle her in the debate. WHY? Because she is a woman? How can we women expect to be seen as equals when there are concerns such as this?
I will say that as a woman, I am highly offended that the Republican party would think that because Palin is a woman that she would appeal to me. I am insulted they would think that I would choose their ticket simply for that reason. I want someone who I feel can step in and run our country, no matter their gender. My interest was piqued, so I watched her speech. I found the tone in her address to the convention condescending and sarcastic, while offering nothing of substance concerning the problems that face our country. This was a vice-presidential pick in an attempt to gather votes, rather than a choice made for the good of the country. I can't, in good conscience, vote for this ticket. Choosing her as a running mate cemented my choice: Obama-Biden '08
SARAH PALIN SLASHED SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION BY 62%
SARAH PALIN SLASHED SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION BY 62%
For those of you who seem so enamored with Gov. Sarah Palin, it might
be worth noting that she oversees the budget for the Department of
Education and Early Development Special Schools in Alaska.
These funds provide supplementary educational services to students
with severe disabling conditions and the Alaska Challenge Youth
Academy. The resident school where the child would normally be placed
does not have the resources to provide an adequate educational
program. Without the supplementary services the child's needs would
not be met by the local school district in most cases.
The following programs are included within this component:
Special Education Service Agency (SESA)
The Annual budget for 2007, which preceded Gov. Palin was $8,265,300.
http://www.gov.state.ak.us/omb/07_OMB/budget/EED/comp2735.pdf
The Annual budget for 2008, enacted by Gov. Palin is $3,156,000.
http://www.gov.state.ak.us/omb/08_OMB/budget/EED/comp2735.pdf
The Annual budget for 2009, enacted by Gov. Palin is $3,156,000.
http://www.gov.state.ak.us/omb/09_omb/budget/EED/comp2735.pdf
This is a cut in special needs services to children in Alaska of
5,109,300 , or 62%.
So, as the Alaska State Budget description states, "Without the
supplementary services the child's needs would not be met by the local
school district in most cases."
Did 62% of all of the special needs children in Alaska stop having
needs once Gov. Palin took office?
Before we get so excited about Gov. Palin bringing her "Reformer"
agenda to Washington, perhaps we should get to know a little more
about what exactly that means to our children, and the opportunities
that she would "Reform".
If you ask me, a 62% cut in these funds, which we all know are so
desperately scarce, and for which we all have to fight tooth and nail
for our children, is a disgrace.
Just a thought...
Maccain no way!
I am a 34yr old single women and the only reason he choose this unknown is to gain Hillary's supporters! We are not stupid, his VP choice does not hold any of the values we do as dems. and niether does Sen. MCcain! 4 more years of Bush! I don't think so!
The media is doing it's job by reporting the facts on Gov. Palin. Her 17 yr. old daughter is pregnate, she leads a small state, and has never been out of the country! Yet, MCcain thinks shes a good choice as VP!
I am outraged by this being even a thought or topic of conversation and choice! This is what is wrong with America
Palin
I was going to watch Palin's speech last night but was totally turned off by the slimy likes of Guilani, a one-time opponent of McCain. From the excerpts of her speech today, I find her to be George Bush all over again. This country needs to get away from her attack dog mentality. We need to find someone who is willing to work to pull the country together. So far all I've seen is a bunch of mud slinging and nastiness. And as far as going after her family, I recall the nasties about the Carter's family, and Chelsea Clinton. This lady should appeal to all the Bush supporters as "More of Same". Big question here would be, "At the age of 72" can this candidate survive a presidency and second, "Honestly, would you want this lady making the calls for this country". I know I wouldn't. We don't need more attack dogs, we need someone who wants to speak to the unity of this country. Haven't we all had enough!
