Sarah Palin, PLEASE Go Back To Alaska

Sarah, if you love your country, PLEASE go back to Alaska. You have to know in your heart you are NOT the person to lead our great country through the terribly difficult times, at home and abroad, that have presented themselves increasingly so over the last decade. This is a VERY SERIOUS election. Although, I'm sure it was a real ego trip for Senator McCain to ask you along for the ride, you have absolutely NO experience with foreign policy or with running big government. You're WAY too young and inexperienced and you scare me to death! It's going to take more than a pretty face -- PLEASE consider the unimaginable consequences if you were to end up as President. This is all so VERY, VERY WRONG!!

THE REAL ISSUE

The REAL issue is NEITHER Palin-Obama nor Palin-Ferraro.

The real issue is: WHY WAS A MORE QUALIFIED REPUBLICAN WOMAN NOT SELECTED? There certainly are plenty to chose from.

I am weary of the whining, accusations, and deflections of this Republican Party. The selection of Palin is an insult to Republican women like Kay Bailey Hutchison, Elisabeth Dole, Olympia Snowe, and Susan Collins.

This is NOT my grandmother's Republican Party. She would be horrified.

Are you kidding?

Is this guy serious? Why on earth would you voluntarily compare your VP candidate to someone who LOST an election? Not only that, if the McCain camp makes the comparison they come out looking patronizing, pandering, and sexist.

However, as an Obama supporter, I say go ahead McCain, use the comparison.

Ferraro was merely a general smart aleck. Palin is a sportsy, churchy (a specific breed) of smart aleck. There isn't much to compare.

Mccain

Why is john mccain sublating his campaign to sarah palin? Is that how he plans to lead? or is this a gimmick

The Americda people do not want another term of George Bush ,that brought loss of millions of jobs, Irag war, and failed economy policy to America people, especially to the single mothers..who are finding it difficult to fend for their chilldren and at the same time the health care price is going up the roof,

Students are finding it difficults to pay their tuition as the lending markets are making it hard for the students to take loans..whereas the in the Repupican party ,being the party for the rich does not care about the common people and i sincerely asked the American people not to vote for the Republican party this time/.yes NOT this time..do not please enslave yourself with your own vote..Vote for the right part..the Inclusive party ..the DEMS PARTY

God bless you you vote for Democrats.

Yui

Ferraro?

I think the world has changed dramatically since 1984. I am not sure how far the comparison will go. MCCain/Palin are running NOW. Not over 20 years ago. It is hurting the campaign enough that they are jumping back to the Reagan years, and avoiding the issues of today.

Palin - Ferraro

Ferraro will go down in history as one of the worst vice presidential picks ever...Palin is a much better political calculation than Ferraro, but intellectually she's even less gifted than Ferraro was. Palin doesn't accept evolution as a theory for the origin of the species; she beileves in creationism. She would make abortion a crime, and believes that homosexuality is a sin. She doesn't accept the idea of man-made global warming, and is a cheerleader for Big Oil. As recently as 2007 she said she hadn't given much thought about U.S. involvement in Iraq. Palin is governor of a remote state of about 650,000 people, sitting on an oil shelf that permits her to govern with a surplus; no tough decisions there. In short, Palin is of limited intelligence and her presence on the ticket will only inflame divisions in this country regarding all those social issues that Karl Rove is so fond of exploiting when the real issues of economics and foreign policy make Republicans and their wealthy military - industrial sponsors uncomfortable.

Compare a woman of today to a woman of yesterday?

First of all Geraldine Ferraro was part of legislature for a neighborhood which has 2,239,379 people (Queens alone) which is 4 times as big as the whole Alaska as a whole (pop. 670,000). Hardly a comparison. Secondly, she is a woman from the 1980's. Certainly Palin's camp isn't ask us to expect out of her what we expected in 1980's. We expect more from our government as a whole, as a progressing world... Now they want to give her a hall pass...

Frankly, I'm appalled that the same party that was questioning Obama's patriotism because of his race can cry sexism at every drop of a dime. As a feminist and a Hillary supporter, there was no doubt in my mind who represented my stance and now that McCain chose Palin merely because she is a woman has only furthered my reasoning to vote for Obama. HILLARY IN 2012!

Signed,

A feminist Hillary supporter...Apparently McCain's target audience. *LOL*
